Hi,
Some people here may know that I'm currently encountering some problems with my setup. I recently go brushless. I have a hacker B20-36S (very powerfull) and a schulze 20Le ESC. My transmitter is a simple Skysport 4 channel. With this transmitte, it is not possible to modify the trottle curve. i.e set a different min/max point in the curve. I have found that the schulze 20Le is quite different from the 18Be in its initialization process. With the 20Le, you have to put on your transmitter with minimum trottle, then plug in the heli battery, wait for one beep of the schulze (it means ok ESC on), then wait wait for another one beep of the schulze which normally means: ok I have automatically found the max trottle point of the transmitter and I am ready to run. The problem is that after performing this process before each flight, the max trottle speed of my transmitter doesn't coincide with the max trottle speed of my Schulze. I know this because if I put the trottle trim of my transmitter to its lowest position and then perform the start process, I am able to increase the rotor speed by raising up the transmitter trim. Does anyone has info about this matter? What should I do? Buy a new transmitter? I will have to also shorten my motor and battery wires in order to comply with the schulze manual instructions. Could the too high lenght of my Schulze wires be the cause of my troubles? Thanks for your help. |

Try removing the internal throttle travel stop. This is a common problem with the Skysport.

Paul,
In fact I already removed the internal throttle travel limiter. I have found that it didn't changed anything to my problem... Charly |

I had a look at the Schulze manual and I can't figure it out.
What I think is happening is that since you are powering up the 20le with the throttle at zero, the controller does not ahve a chance to set the full throttle point and uses a default. If you advance the throttle past the default after the controller is armed, the controller will reset the full throttle point. But until you do, or if the default point is ABOVE the full throttle point on your transmitter, the controller and your transmitter will not agree on full throttle. Have you tried powering up with the transmitter at full throttle the same way that you would initialize the 18be for no brake? That also allows it to set the full throttle point. |
