Orion 6 cells - GREAT!!!

Today just out of curiosity, I made up a 6 cell 720mah pack to try out in my orion pic. With a 8 tooth pinion, my 6 cells pic was as powerful as a 8 cells! [img]images/icons/laugh.gif[/img] I was a bit skeptical at first because of the lower voltage, but the 6 cells combination performed better than I expected. The great thing is that my orion motor now runs much much more cooler compared to the 8 cells!! [img]images/icons/laugh.gif[/img] My orion used to get really really hot after every flight with 8 cells. With the drop in weight, climb outs were as good as before without sacrificing any flight times!! [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img] My orion 6 cells really rocks!!! [img]images/icons/laugh.gif[/img]

GREAT!! I'm in the process of trying to get a 6cell nicad pack working. Right now i'm fighting w/ my main drive gear, but thats a different story.

alvinc, that's great to hear. i might try that with the NiCad cells too.
