very loose ball links

I recently bought an Eco 8. I was disappointed to find that most of the ball links have a large amount of slop especially the ones close to the main blade holder. I even found the ball links where loose on the brass balls that come with the aluminium swash plate.

Has anybody else had similar experiences ?

What is the fix ?

Hi,

All my ball links were tight, some had to be slackened off by squeezing with pliers. Judgeing by the other posts, this is what most people find.

I thought that the ball I recieved in the kit must be at fault so I ordered some new ones as spares now I have another 20 loose ball links. What gives here do they become loose when they cross the equator ?

Is there no one that also has loose ball links or have I once again been singled out for cruel and unusual punishment ?
