So, can you use the Telebee heading hold gyro in an Eco 8? Also, will a Futaba 6XHS have the proper swash setting for the swashplate on the Eco 8? I think Ive decided to get the Eco over the Raptor...hope its the right choice.

I have the same Radio model (6XHS), you need to buy the aluminium swashplate with 120 degrees and enter in the radio menu to change to Swash3 mode, if not the servos will move the swashplate in wrong way. This Radio dont have 90degrees program to work with plastic stock swashplate.
I dont know about Telebee heading hold gyro, because I use Ikarus Heading Hold Profit Gyro. Bye. |

It says on Ikarus site that the radio would need mode 4 or mode 2. The 6XHS will do mode 2 it seems in the menu settings. I have read that the aluminum plate it difficult to setup in 120 degree mode.

Ok. You need mode 2 or mode 4, but in the 6XHS menu this "mode 2 or mode 4" means that you need to change in Swashplate mode to "Swash3" this is the correct because have 3 servos with one elevator a other two in 120 degrees. I use this setup with elevator servo in reverse and control and flight of my Eco with this Radio is very easy and good.
Dont care about "that the aluminum plate it difficult to setup in 120 degree mode" Buy your Eco and this Radio will be fine! Only change the plastic stock with aluminium 120degrees and see if all linkages have the same angle and test when you move up the pitch stick if all 3 linkages move in the same way, if not enter with the cursor in Swash3 menu and change every servo mix until to find the right way. To see some pictures of this setup with 120degrees and aluminium swashplate without make any changes in servo position enter in this page: http://www.dokidoki.ne.jp/home2/junk...2/epECO12.html Bye. |
