Hello, when I first got the eco 8, I was following the instructions and doing some hops with it. I had a mishap, dinged up the blades, but they were usable, bsnt the boom, but fixed it. After that incedent, I could not accellerate the heli without it going into a spin before it ever got up to speed. I replaced all the shafts, checked and rechecked the controll rod lengths, but it still starts to spin when I try to accellerate, in other words, the whole heli is turning with the blades. Any suggestions? I have now replaced the blades with some slightly heavier ones, and also a carbom boom. But I still have not had the pleasure of hovering(or crashing for that matter. Help please. Sounds like when you took your boom off to fix it you didnt set it back up the way you had it. Check the tail rotor snake, be sure you dont have it fastened down to tight with tape, or whatever. Check your gyro, you didnt bust it up in your mishap did you? Or if you had it off during repair, did you put it back on the same way? also be sure you didnt twist the tail drive belt in the wrong direction. If it was really holding still before and you were really hoping along then it is something you did when you put it back togeather after your mishap.

The problem sounds very much like the tail response is backwards. Check that it rotates the right way - lower blade forwards,
Check that the gyro and servo senses didn't get changed during the rebuild. Also, check that you put the tail back together with the pitch arms the right way round. They are at the leading edge when they are right. It will go together with them at the trailing edge in which case the controls are reversed. Jim |

Thanks guys, I have had the boom apart, checking and rchecking the belt to make sure it is right, I will try again, and use you suggestions as a guide. One thing, I have not replaced the flybar, which may be slightly bent, although I dont think it is. I am almost at the point of sending it, or taking it to some one to fix it. Thanks again. Jay
