I fly the eco 8 with mech mixing.
I have only flown the bird 4 times so my experience will probably not be the best. I manage to get her into a stable hover, fly forward, turn and roll-turn. The problems i have found with the mechanical mixer is that it is quite hard to set a good pitch curb and that it can be abit unstable at times when making a roll turn out of a hover. It is definately nothing that i would sugest for an experienced flyer, but it is fine for me as a beginner. I am thinking of investing in an onboard ccp mixer later on. |

It can be done but its no fun, You will enjoy your heli much more with CCPM. I went to CCPM 2 years ago when people didnt even know what it was including the glo guys. I havent had to fiddle with my lickages in 50+ flights. Just no need to once its right.

Hi guys,
Just thought I would stop by on the ECO board. I have heard that mech mixing is a definate no no. After trawling the web, I found a CCPM onboard electronic mixer that can be used with a non CCPM radio. Have a look at Quick UK Sorry it is a UK site. I haven't found a US equivalent. Hope this is of some interest to you. Back to the Piccolo board. ------------------ Tim G-TAW Have a look at My Pic Pics Page [This message has been edited by TAW (edited 03-17-2001).] |
