okay, whats going on is that it doesn't really seem to matter where i set my gyro's, the tail motor enevitably overtakes the main motor, usually around 70% throttle. at extreme setting i get absolutely no control and i can't seem to find a setting in between, or any setting for that matter that isn't totally out of whack. i can get it to hover at any particular throttle, but as soon as i add power the main rotor will get to strong and when i reduce throttle the tail will get to strong. any ideas? thank goodness for the weekend, any amens? peace guys, and thanks for all the help youve been giving me

momo k do you have adjustable travel volume ?make sure your throttle is set at 100 percent,no higher!.The mixer (the one on the right)reguires the minutist of adjustments, tiny, tiny, tiny!.

I think the mix on the piccoboard are wrong. If I remember right the gyro adjuster are top left and the mix adjuster are the one next too it (right) the board must be mounted so the adjusters are top left and front (view from left side of the heli) and the board stands up on the long side. if you understand wath I'm talking about?? start with 80% on both

And check that you don't have a heli mix in your tx too.

if you dont understand the percentage thing just think about 11.30 on a clock.

i have a regular four channel radio, not computerized, no dual rates or anything. if its not to much trouble can anybody explain to me what the effects are on flying with either gyro? i am having a really hard time figuring out what exactly is happening when i make the adjustments. thanks again, peace.

It took me a while to understand to momo k but i think it goes something like this, set the pot on the left(gain) vertical, set the pot on the right(mixer) vertical.the gain pot controls the strength of the mixing ,if you set at vertical you dont need to worry about this to much,The important one is the mix ,when you lift of and get in to a hover let the rudder stick centralize on the tx if the tail wanders to the left(pressuming you are standing behind)land turn off and turn the mixing screw a tiny amount to the left (this will weeken the tail motor a bit)if the tail wanders to the right in a hover you want to turn it to the right(this will strengthen the tail motor),just remember the more you turn the pot to the right the more power you put into the tail rotor blades wich swings the tail to the left dont forget the right swing is from the engine torque ,you want to balance these two.Make sure your trims are set at nutural and your tx is at least two feet away from the heli when you turn on.

I think the left is only gain for the gyro. have nothing to do with the mixer. If the gain (gyro)is too high it makes it hard to fly forward, the tail won't follow the heli around instead it's always trying too stay in the same direction.and the tailmotor are working alot.If it's too lose the tail could tend too "fall down" when you tilt right or left.Keap it as lose as you can without having to compenset to much with the "ruder" (turn it clockwise to harden it). you might need more gain if you fly outside then indoors

I think i experienced that today J ,i was trying forward flight for first the time and when i turn the heli falls backwards ,i put on rotor head brace and seemed better but next time ill turn up my gyro gain
thanks |

Will, mabe you should use lees? The tail will follow the heli if you have some wind (speed) if the gain is right.Just think, do the tail stay more in same direction than you whant it to do, then gain is too hard, if it turns for now reasson , it's to lose. If at hover, it falls in when you tilt it's too lose... Just try.. you will know if it's the wrong way
